Standard cylinder with internal potentiometric position measuring system
This cylinder is based on a standard ISO-VDMA pneumatic cylinder. A potentiometric measuring system integrated into the piston rod enables precise position detection over the entire stroke. The version shown here is used in machines for processing cabbages. The core (“stalk”) of the cabbage must be drilled out to a precise depth. The cylinder is initially used as a measuring system to determine the size of the cabbage. Depending on this, the drill moves to the depth corresponding to the size of the cabbage.
