In the production of CDs and DVDs, the blanks are coated in a vacuum with up to eight different substances.
The blanks are handled by a star-shaped cylinder system, which rotates in the center of the machine and transports the blanks from station to station. The most important feature is that all 9 piston rods extend at exactly the same time.
