In paper cutting machines, so-called “three-knife trimmers”, the stops are clamped over strong spring assemblies for variable format adjustment. To adjust the stops, the spring assemblies are relieved by hydraulic cylinders, which in turn are actuated by this pressure intensifier with a transmission ratio of 39:1. The external compensation tank for compensating for volume changes due to temperature fluctuations and leakage losses also serves as a tank for easy filling of the entire hydraulic system.
